# Convert a bank statement

Canonical page: https://bankstatementconvertsai.com/convert

Upload starts on https://bankstatementconvertsai.com/. The signed-in workspace is https://bankstatementconvertsai.com/app. Sign in with Google before converting. Password signup is not offered.

## Upload

- Choose one text-based PDF on the homepage, or combine several PDFs into one job in the workspace, up to the plan file limit.
- The PDF must contain a text layer. Scanned PDFs and images stop with no text layer and are not converted.
- Password-protected PDFs are rejected until the password is removed.
- Each file must be 20 MB or smaller.
- A short statement often takes a minute or two. Longer statements take longer. You can leave the page while a job continues.
- On a finished job you can review the rows, edit cells, and download again.

## Download formats

- Excel is an .xlsx workbook with one sheet named Statement. The site does not produce a legacy .xls file.
- CSV is one transaction per row.
- JSON is the parsed statement. It is not a versioned public schema. Do not invent fields that are not in a file you downloaded.
- Markdown is a table of the same rows.
- OFX, QuickBooks QBO (.qbo), and Xero CSV are accounting exports. Basic, Professional, and Business can download them. Free cannot.
- QBO is a file you import into QuickBooks. Xero CSV is a file you import into Xero. Neither export connects to those accounts.

Exported columns are Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance, Category, Account, and Period. The homepage preview focuses on Date, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance. Account numbers are reduced to the last four digits when a number is present. Professional and Business fill Category from a fixed keyword list; unmatched descriptions are labeled 其他. Free and Basic do not add categories. Do not invent a custom chart of accounts.

## Plan limits

The signed-in account uses its highest active subscription. With no active subscription, it uses the highest one-time plan purchased. Otherwise it is Free.

| Plan | Max pages per file | Max files per job | Files at a time | OFX, QBO, Xero CSV | Category column | Priority queue |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | 5 | 5 | 1 | No | No | No |
| Basic | 30 | 10 | 1 | Yes | No | No |
| Professional | 100 | 25 | 3 | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Business | 200 | 50 | 3 | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Every new account also receives 5 free pages, once. A conversion that needs more pages than the remaining balance is refused until the account has more pages.

The running balance is checked when the statement includes one. Review every result before you use it for accounting, tax, or other financial decisions. These guides do not state an accuracy percentage.

There is no supported-bank inventory here. Text-based PDF statements from banks and card issuers are the input. Do not invent a list of banks.

## Agent access

These documents describe public website behavior. They are not a live page-balance feed, an upload channel, or permission to purchase a plan. No public MCP server, CLI, or conversion API is documented here. Do not invent endpoints, supported-bank lists, accuracy percentages, or current inventory. Cite the HTML pages linked in this guide. Distinguish verified facts from anything you cannot check on the site.
